Several President Guards Arrested Monrovia For Hijacking Vessel

Several officers of the presidential elite force, the Anti-Terrorist Unit (ATU) have been apprehended in Monrovia for attempted hijacking of a shipping vessel at the Freeport of Monrovia on Wednesday.

An INQUIRER investigation revealed that the armed ATU personnel were arrested Wednesday morning by security on board the vessel belonging to the Mel Shipping Line while holding the vessel crew at gun-point demanding valuables.

Our investigation also indicates that the attempted hijack of the vessel occurred when the vessel was trying to duck at the Port of Monrovia.

The investigation revealed that while the vessel crew members were awaiting the tote boat to duck in the port, the armed officers entered the vessel using a fishing canoe which the man took from the Township of West Point.

Our investigation further disclosed that upon hearing news of the attempted hijacking, security guards assigned at the Freeport of Monrovia boarded the park tote boat, which was being prepare to receive the shipping vessel.

It was at this moment our investigation observed that the rescue security guards entered into the vessel and apprehended the hijackers.

The Mel Shipping Line vessel was permitted to finally duck at the pear of the Freeport of Monrovia following the arrest of the armed men who were later taken away.
